Wagoneer vs. Grand Wagoneer

SUV enthusiasts are looking forward to the release of the all-new 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer in the summer of 2021. And the team at Victory CDJR is prepared with all the details for customers from Topeka to Gladstone. But the most crucial piece of information is that orders for these full-sized luxury SUVs are coming in quickly. And without placing an order soon, you could miss out on your opportunity to own this new version of the first-ever SUV on the market.

The Pricing

The Wagoneer will have a base price of $59,995. It will remain under the $100,000 price point even when fully loaded with features and technology. However, the more enhanced and luxurious Grand Wagoneer will reach $109,980 when fully decked out. But with the basic package, the Grand will sticker for $88,995.

The Exterior

These exceptional SUVs are built on the same frame and body using a high-strength steel safety cage. The differences become evident when you start to look at the finishes, equipment packages, and options for the two vehicles. The Grand Wagoneer lives up to its name with more exclusive features and upgrades than the Wagoneer.

One of the first options shoppers notice is that the Grand Wagoneer offers three attractive color choices including, Midnight Sky Blue, Rocky Mountain Green, and Ember Red. But the Wagoneer is limited to a silver exterior. Other upgrades to the Grand exterior include more detailed LED lights, added chrome features, a sporty all-black roof, and more prominent fender flares. Both vehicles do offer a variety of wheel options from 18 inches to 22 inches with various finishes. The retractable running boards are an optional upgrade on the Wagoneer but are part of the standard equipment package for the Grand Wagoneer.

The Power

These large SUVs both include a V-8 engine and automatic eight-speed transmission in a generous standard equipment package. The Wagoneer uses a 5.7L engine with cylinder deactivation and a hybrid assist feature. The standard setup puts 392 horsepower and 404 foot-pounds of torque at your disposal. The towing capacity is an impressive 10,000 pounds when this rear-wheel-drive SUV is appropriately equipped.

The Grand sports a larger and more powerful engine. The 6.4L V-8 creates a more than ample 471 horsepower and 455 foot-pounds of torque and includes the same cylinder deactivation feature. This more powerful model is built as a four-wheel-drive but still offers drivers some excitement by launching from 0 to 60 in just six seconds.

The Cabin

Inside the Grand Wagoneer, you will find all the luxury and comfort you would expect from a top-of-the-line luxury vehicle. The trims, finishes, and dash are more lavish than the Wagoneer, which still holds its own with exceptional comfort and convenience. The capacity of each SUV is determined by the seating configuration drivers select. The second-row captain's chairs add to the luxury feel but reduce the seating capacity from eight to seven.
