How Does It Work?

What Is the Reason My ABS Dashboard Light Is On?
When the ABS light comes on as you first start your vehicle and goes off, it’s part of the normal process. It means the system is running a self-diagnostic to ensure that the system is working properly. A light that stays on could mean one of the following issues:
- ABS computer module malfunctions.
- Corroded or broken ABS sensor.

Recommended Actions When the ABS Light Comes On

- ABS light comes on at startup and stays on: ABS has detected a problem, and if this is the case, your brakes will function, but the ABS system will disengage. - ABS comes on when driving: The ABS has stopped working. Although it may be temporary, you should still set up an appointment at Victory CDJR.
- ABS and brake light comes on: For many vehicles, this is an important warning. Your brakes may cease to function. Be careful and pull off the road to a safe place, then call for a tow.
- Brake light glows amber: For some vehicles, this functions as an ABS light, but get it checked out at Victory CDJR.
